Sugba Lagoon
Del Carmen is home to Sugba Lagoon, a stunning 4,000-hectare sanctuary with crystal-clear waters and dramatic limestone rock formations. The lagoon is easily accessible with a short 20-minute boat ride from the Del Carmen port. At the center of the lagoon, you’ll find a pontoon house/restaurant offering equipment rentals like bamboo rafts, kayaks, paddleboards, and snorkels.
For the adventurous, jumping off the diving board is a popular activity, giving visitors the chance to snap some action-packed photos. For an even more thrilling experience, take a short kayak or paddleboard ride to a hidden tree cliff jump located about 500 meters away.

Del Carmen Mangrove Forest
Del Carmen is also home to the Del Carmen Mangrove Forest, which is the largest protected mangrove area in Siargao and the second largest in Mindanao. The forest is a natural haven for 44 of the 54 mangrove species worldwide and supports a rich biodiversity of birds, reptiles, and even endangered species like the Philippine freshwater crocodile.
While Del Carmen itself doesn't have any surf spots that we can reveal, there are some great spots nearby at Tangbo and (another) Secret Spot, which is just a short drive away. Tangbo is known for its beautiful, less crowded waves, perfect for surfers looking for a more relaxed and authentic experience away from the bustling surf hubs.
