Stimpy's is a fairly consistent left-hand reef break located about 15 minutes offshore. The best conditions occur from October through to February, when northeast swells and offshore west-southwest winds create clean, glassy waves. The wave varies with swell size: small swells (2-3 feet) are mellow and great for practicing turns or longboarding, medium swells (4-6 feet) offer longer rides with barrel sections, and large swells (8+ feet) are powerful and barrel-rich, suited only for experts. The take-off is fairly tame, and rides can span multiple sections, especially when the wind is offshore. Stimpy's can get packed with surfers sitting on all three sections, so always practice proper surfing etiquette and watch for the large rock inside that is visible at low tide.
Northeast swells of 3-10+ft.
Best surfed with a Northwest offshore wind, but it can also be a great option during North or Northeast winds when other spots are blown out.
Low to mid tide. Stimpy's can work on high tide but too much water make it hard to catch.
Intermediate
A great wave for intermediate surfers who want to challenge themselves when the swell picks up. The takeoff is somewhere between Tuason and Cemetery.
Good
Left-hand reef break, reliable, varies from fun walls to powerful barrels.
Moderate
Varies from moderate to crowded, often increasing when the wind comes from the north.. You can check how many boats are there from Catangnan Bridge.
Stimpy's is accessible exclusively by boat. Several areas have boatmen willing to take surfers for the right price, but the most common departure point is next to Kanaway Surf School in Catangnan. The journey takes approximately 15 minutes and costs 250 pesos per person, typically requiring a minimum of two passengers. The boatman will wait or surf with you then take you back. Since Stimpy's is near Rock Island, you can check both spots before deciding where to surf. Keep in mind that the fare covers a 2 hour session, after which the boatman usually prefers to return to collect other surfers.
